
Gloria A. Jones
CANTON – Gloria A. Jones, 86, a resident of Canton, passed away peacefully, Monday, Sept. 30, 2024, at Pinnacle Health & Rehab in Canton. She was born Sept. 19, 1938, in Rumford, the daughter of Carroll Libby and Charlotte (Bartlett) Libby.
She attended school in Canton. In 2000 she married Harold “Okie” Jones. She worked for G.H. Bass, in the returns department for over 30 years until her retirement in 2002. She enjoyed shopping, house plants, animals and especially time spent with her grandchildren. She will be remembered for her great cooking and loving nature.
She is survived by her sons, Jeffrey Kilbreth and wife Lisa of Albuquerque, New Mexico and Scott Kilbreth and wife Jackie of Canton, Maine; her 100-year-old sister, Eleanor Fish formerly of Weld; three grandchildren, Katie Valles and husband Matt of Albuquerque, NM, Joseph Kilbreth and wife Shelly of Canton, and Libby Irish and husband Jason of Peru; great-grandchildren, Jacob and Jackson Irish and Liam and Ellie Valles. She was predeceased by her parents, her husband Harold “Okie” Jones, and 10 siblings.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m., Monday, Oct. 7 at FINLEY FUNERAL HOME, 15 Church Street, Livermore Falls, Maine. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m., prior to the funeral at the funeral home. Interment Pine Grove Cemetery, Route 108, Canton, Maine. Immediately following the burial there will be a reception at the Meeting Room at the Canton Town Office, 94 Turner Street, Canton, Maine.
