Who is Rep. Laurel Libby representing?
On April 3, the Maine House of Representatives voted against a bill that would restrict unauthorized neo-Nazi paramilitary training in the state after advocating for their rights to exercise their freedom of speech.
Now Libby, a Bangor native, is running for reelection to her third term in the Maine House for District 90, encompassing parts of Auburn and Minot. She is running against Coach Dan Campbell, a Clean Election candidate and lifelong resident of Auburn.
In her Sept. 16 Maine Ethics Commission Report she listed only $20,260.73 coming from Auburn and Minot. Most of her $128,025.79 came from out of her district.
So wouldn’t Dan Campbell, who has spent decades coaching winning teams of kids and advocating for the homeless in Auburn and Minot, be a better choice than Rep. Libby, whom we really can’t be sure who she is representing?
