FARMINGTON — Five players scored and seven had assists as the Mt. Blue field hockey team defeated Poland 9-0 on Thursday.
Morgan Hersey paced the Mt. Blue (4-2) attack with three goals and an assist, while Kali Judkins contributed two goals and an assist, and Grace Allen scored twice.
Avery Tinker and Piper Wojcik added a goal apiece. Ivey Rackliffe, Summer Sawyer, Lily Huntley, Bree Griffin and Abbi Donald each recorded an assist.
Poland (1-7) goalie Isabella Lizotte made 17 saves.
GIRLS SOCCER
GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 5, WAYNFLETE 2: Madi Fecteau, Bri Waterman, Ashley Anderson, Libby Whidden and Hannah Bolduc each scored a goal for the Patriots in their win in Gray.
Hailey Carson logged five saves in net for Gray-New Gloucester (3-5-1).
Naomi Rice scored two goals for Waynflete (3-4-1).
MADISON 8, DIRIGO 0: Mackenzie Robbins had three goals and an assist as the Bulldogs won in Madison.
Reagan Cowan scored twice and assisted for Madison (8-0), while Jillian Linkletter, Ella Haynie and Jaelyn Lenko added a goal apiece. Allison Tuscan made three saves in goal.
Dirigo falls to 2-3-1.
MT. ARARAT 8, LEWISTON 1: Julianna Allen and Isiah Godo each connected twice as the Eagles (6-2) erupted for seven second-half goals to pull away from the Blue Devils (1-7) in Topsham.
CeCe Minet, Addison Allen, Katherine Theriault and Elena Willis also scored for Mt. Ararat.
Ella Beaudoin was the goal scorer for Lewiston.
BOYS SOCCER
GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 2, WAYNFLETE 1: Logan Inman scored twice in the final six minutes to rally Gray-New Gloucester to a 2-1 win at Waynflete.
Boje Kautz assisted on both goals and Tristan Cutler made six saves for the Patriots (6-2-1).
The Flyers (3-4) got a successful first-half penalty kick from Lucas Plumb and four saves from Diego Schair-Catdona.
SPRUCE MOUNTAIN 8, DIRIGO 0: Jonathan Hines and Arthur Pacton each scored twice for the Phoenix in their victory over the Cougars in Jay.
Maxwell Turner, Aden Salvato, Brayden Fournier and Wyatt Foss also scored for Spruce Mountain (3-6). Foss added a pair of assists, and Joshua Jackson also had two, while Pacton and Camden Smith each set up one goal.
Dirigo (0-9) goalie Andrew Harmon made nine saves.
LEAVITT 1, POLAND 0: Damon Rucci’s unassisted goal with 9:40 remaining in the second half made the difference as the Hornets won in Poland.
Vanya Bezhenar earned the clean sheet in goal for Leavitt (3-6), which was out-shot 12-10. Eliot Rioux was in goal for Poland (4-7) and finished with 10 saves.
MT. ABRAM 5, MOUNTAIN VALLEY 0: Chase Ross scored two goals and Killian Pillsbury had a goal and an assist as the Roadrunners blanked the Falcons in Rumford.
Walker Wolfe and Robert Butterfield each scored a goal for Mt. Abram (6-3). Landon Marble assisted on two goals and Landon Russell set up one. Goalie Logan Dube stopped three shots.
Mountain Valley (0-6-2) goalkeeper Ben DeSalle stopped 13 shots.
EDWARD LITTLE 1, MESSALONSKEE 0: Abdi Mohamoud scored the sole goal in the Red Eddies victory over the Eagles in Auburn.
Mohamoud’s first-half goal was set up by Muhudin Jibril. Edward Little (6-1-1) goalie Logan Martin made six saves.
The Red Eddies have won six straight games.
Dagen Gooding made five saves in goal for Messalonskee (5-5).
