AUBURN — Fire crews battled flames at a multifamily home on South Main Street late Friday night.
Crews were called out to 115 South Main St., near the corner at 9th Street, at about 10 p.m. for a report of a working structure fire.
When crews first arrived, flames were showing from top of the three-story home and crews battled fire in the attic. Once those flames were knocked down, more were reported inside a wall.
Early reports were that all occupants of the home were accounted for. There were no immediate reports of injury in the two-alarm blaze.
By 10:30 p.m., firefighters were preparing to enter the building as their efforts to snuff out the flames continued.
Lewiston firefighters were assisting at the scene and Mechanic Falls was filling in at the Auburn station.
