Donald Trump knew he lost.
In addition to being told this by dozens of his aides, advisors and White House lawyers, 62 separate state and federal judges, some of whom he had appointed himself, had also informed him that he was, in fact, a loser.
And yet, on Jan. 6, 2021, he energized a mob of his sycophants, armed with guns, knives, bats, handcuffs, zip ties and other assorted weapons, to pillage and terrorize the Capitol. They assaulted over 140 police officers, caused nearly $3 million in damage, and set up a makeshift gallows in an attempt to hang the vice president, all because Trump’s pathetically fragile ego would not permit him to accept reality.
On Nov. 5, people should vote for the truth. They should vote for basic human decency, and vote for autonomy over their own body. They should vote for their freedom, their democracy and their Constitution.
They should vote for Kamala Harris.
