POLAND — Four different players scored as the Poland girls soccer team defeated Oak Hill, 4-3 on Saturday.
Arianna Gammon, Graceyn Camire, Emma Culleton and Addison Gravel scored for Poland (5-6-1), while Olivia Austin had two assists and goalkeeper Olivia Rioux made six saves.
Sydney Wood, Eliana Smith and Audrey Custer scored for Oak Hill (3-7-1), and Delia Gosselin added an assist. MacKenzie Vattaso had 10 saves in goal.
VINALHAVEN 1, TELSTAR 1: Haley Smith scored in the Rebels’ senior recognition game to notch a tie against the Vikings in Bethel.
Smith’s first-half goal was set up by Emma McPherson.
BOYS SOCCER
POLAND 1, OAK HILL 0: Oliver Olson’s second-half goal made the difference as the Knights won in Poland.
Eliot Rioux made five saves in goal for Poland (5-7), while Wyatt Blier had six for Oak Hill (4-8).
FIELD HOCKEY
MT. ARARAT 1, OXFORD HILLS 0: Krystah Coen’s unassisted goal with 5:31 left in the first overtime lifted the Eagles to victory in Topsham.
Laila Adams had fives in goal for Mt. Ararat (9-2), while Kya Smith made eight for Oxford Jills (1-9).
YARMOUTH 6, EDWARD LITTLE 0: Five different players scored goals as the Clippers (11-1) beat the Red Eddies (4-7) in Yarmouth.
Yarmouth grabbed the lead when Erica O’Connor scored 19 seconds into the second quarter. Madison Wiles and Madeline Nieter added goals to make it 3-0 at halftime.
Maya Nasveschuk, O’Connor and Zoe Sammon scored in the second half.
The Red Eddies got 14 saves from Ruby Harris.
