We are fortunate to have Margaret “Peggy” Rotundo serving our state in the Maine Senate. I write to support her candidacy for continued service in Senate District 21.
For much of her legislative career, Peggy has served as a leader for the Joint Standing Committee on Appropriations and Financial Affairs. She co-chairs this important committee, which debates and provides initial legislative approval for our state budget.
In the past I served (in the opposing party) with Peggy on this committee, and despite our sometimes-differing views we were able to work together constructively to help finalize strong biennial state budgets for the people of Maine. I was proud to serve with such a hardworking person of such honesty and integrity.
I hope voters support Peggy Rotundo in Senate District 21. She is a key legislative leader who people can depend on for excellent service.
