I did not know Colleen Strickler, candidate for House District 104, when she entered the race. I have asked her questions, watched the candidates’ forum and feel compelled to vote for her on Nov 5.
Colleen is a New Gloucester Select Board member, served as a library trustee and owned a small business. She is a pragmatic problem solver and is not driven by partisan politics. Perhaps this comes from growing up in a home with parents in each of the political parties.
She is a collaborator and willing to listen to all sides and ideas and work to find solutions regardless of which party proposes them. She believes no matter how large the problem is, everyone can contribute to the solution.
She has experience working with employers seeking good employees and would focus on keeping young people in Maine.
I hope voters join me in supporting Colleen.
