The dogs of Responsible Pet Care often come and go quickly. There are a few who tend to have a hard time finding their forever home for many reasons, such as needing to live in a home with no other animals or children or dogs who need additional training, extra time, and patience with a new owner. Here are our long-term resident dogs.

Buddha

Buddha- He is handsome, smart and loyal. He needs a home with no other dogs, cats or chickens. He would do best in a home without children. Buddha would make a wonderful companion, we just need to be patient until the perfect home comes his way.

Vinny

Vinny- Vinny is a strong guy who loves to play. He would be your wingman. It’s best for him to live in a home without any other pets or children. He needs an owner who will continue to train with him, one who will have the patience and energy. Vinny would also prefer a large bed for him to sleep on.

Shamus

Shamus- Shamus is in the same boat as Buddha and Vinny: he needs to be the only dog in the home. He is smart, loyal and loves to nap. His favorite activity is playing in the yard.

Luna

Luna- Luna gets easily stressed being at the shelter, though she is a completely different dog while outside. She loves to sunbathe and loves playing with other dogs. We think she would do wonderfully in a home with other dogs, with the proper introductions. We are unsure how she is with cats or children but would love to live with another dog.

Shadow

Last but not least, Shadow. I’m sure most of you have heard of Shadow. He is our longest living resident here at RPC, for going on 2 years. We’ve learned a lot from Shadow, and he has learned a lot from us. Our staff members have shown him that not all humans are scary. Shadow loves to play and he loves to hang out with his humans. He is a great napper, too. He’s just a little scared of cats… and possibly children, too.

Please help us spread the word about these wonderful dogs, who just need a particular home. They are wonderful companions, ready to break out of their kennel and start enjoying their new life in their new home.
