BETHEL — After 30 amazing years, Heather and Dave Nivus have handed Turkey Tuesday off to the Bethel Area District Exchange and Food Pantry, (BADE&FP).
Here’s what remains the same…
Turkey Tuesday is an event that brings Western Maine together. Doors open at 5 p.m. and dinner starts at 6 p.m. You will need to bring your own plates, napkins, silverware, and tablecloth. You can donate side dishes and desserts!
A donation to BADE&FP is suggested.

Here is what is new…
We are so excited to announce that Turkey Tuesday has found a new home at Mt. Abram. The only alcohol allowed must be purchased at the Mt. Abram bar. Mt. Abram will donate a portion of the cost of each beverage back to BADE&FP.
We need many volunteers on different teams to help on November 24-26. Volunteer sign up by skill set at www.bethelareafoodpantry.org as listed below.
Volunteer Teams needed:
Kitchen Team (Must have experience in a professional kitchen) 11/24-11/26
Set Up (Must be able to lift 50 lbs.) 11/24, late afternoon
Dining Room Prep Team 11/26, 4 p.m. (Must be detail oriented)
Transportation Team 11/26, 5 p.m.
Clean Mt. Abram Team 11/26, 7:30-9 p.m. (Must be detail oriented)
Dish Crew at Gould Academy 11/26, 8-9 p.m. (Professional dish room experience)
Return Tables and Chairs to Gould 11/26, 8-9 p.m. (Must be able to lift 25 lbs.)
