As a mother of three, I was disheartened to hear that Maine has ranked dead last in the nation for student achievement. It isn’t for lack of funding, as Maine is one of highest taxed states, with a large percentage of our taxes going toward public education.
It is more important now than ever for Maine to embrace educational freedom. We need candidates who support students, families and teachers over growing bureaucracy.
That candidate is Rep. Laurel Libby. She has been a huge proponent of educational freedom.
We can’t keep doing the same thing year after year, expecting a different result. Maine students deserve the best education possible.
We have a duty to vote in representatives who will be the voice of the people, and Rep. Libby has proven herself to be a trusted voice for all. I hope people vote to reelect her.
