I was attorney general when I first got to know Kamala Harris more than a dozen years ago. Together, we took on Big Pharma for peddling opioids, went after big banks that caused the housing collapse, and cracked down on scammers who stole from seniors.
Now she is fighting to protect Medicare, and expand it to cover home health care, allowing family members to work and keep relatives out of expensive nursing homes. She would cut prescription drug prices, just as she capped the price of insulin. She would protect Social Security and cost of living increases for seniors. Donald Trump would not.
Kamala Harris’ character is solid. As a former district attorney and AG, her commitment to our safety and well-being is steadfast. She cares about people.
I am confident she would lead with those values, because I know her. I hope people join me in voting for Kamala on Nov. 5.
