KINGFIELD — The next Kingfield Friday Artwalk is scheduled for 5-7:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 1.
High Peaks Artisan Guild has a new artist member, a photographer who also makes goat milk soap because of her goat, Buttercup. Beth Main is a photographer, counselor and dairy goat breeder. She has a deep appreciation for the “uncomplicatedness” of farm life and rural western Maine. Her favorite photography subjects are the animals on her farm in Phillips where she and her husband live.
“They all have such unique personalities,” Main said, according to a news release from Patty Thomas with the artwalk. “I see the beauty in all of them. I love capturing their expressions and the way they relate to each other.” Main says she is thrilled to be able to share her images at the High Peaks Artisan Guild. Her portfolio is also online.

Additional venues throughout town include The Silly Goose Bar and Grill at the Mountain Village Farm B&B just south of the village, will feature a Greg Thomas exhibit and check out Saskia Reinholt murals on the barns.
Back in town, stop at Alpine Design and The Melissa Aromatherapy, just two doors down from the Guild where they will have a tea tasting.
Longfellow’s Restaurant will have works by local artists exhibiting there: Peter Walen paintings and Wirebridge Photography by Doug Archer.
As you take in the Artwalk, stop in at Orchard Girls Cidery in the “Brick Castle” (formerly the Orange Cat Cafe) for their hard cider.
The next Kingfield Friday Artwalks are from 5-7:30 p.m. Dec., 6, Jan. 3, Feb. 7, March 7 and April 4.
