Mike retired from the Navy and began a career in finance as a stockbroker and financial planner. He worked for decades for various firms in Washington, D.C. (e.g., Lehman Brothers, Shearson Lehman, Morgan Stanley). As they approached retirement, Mike and Janet moved from Maryland to Florida. They lived in Land O’Lakes, traveling and spending time with friends and family for nearly 20 years.
