DEAR SUN SPOTS: The Lisbon United Methodist Church at 14 School St. in Lisbon Falls will holding its Annual Holiday Fair and Silent Auction on Friday, Nov. 8, from 5-7 p.m. and Saturday, Nov. 9, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Crafts, baked goods, “recycled” Christmas decorations, plants, books and puzzles will be available for sale. A large silent auction will also take place with some wonderful items to bid on.

DEAR SUNSPOTS: The Poland Historical Society at 1231 Maine St. in Poland will host Hugh Keene and his memories of growing up in West Poland on Saturday, Nov. 9, at 10 a.m.
A longtime educator in the Auburn school system, Hugh once attended the Poland Corner School House, which is now the home of the Historical Society. He will recall a time when homes were not electrified, when schools consisted of one room with multiple grades, and when a settlement existed on Blackcat Mountain. DEAR SUN SPOTS: The annual Shop on Park Avenue Holiday Fair by the United Methodist Church at 439 Park Ave. in Auburn is planned for Saturday, Nov. 23, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Homemade pies, candy, cheese, beans, meatballs, chili, macaroni and cheese, breads, jams and jelly, relishes and pickles are just a few of the foods on sale.
There will also be jewelry, $5 surprise bags, crafts, white elephant items, books, and more.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: The Ladies Guild of Our Lady of Ransom Church in Mechanic Falls is preparing for the Annual Christmas Craft Fair on Saturday, Dec. 7, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the parish hall at 117 Elm St. in Mechanic Falls.
We are looking for crafters to join us for the fair. If interested, you can call 345-3274 to reserve a table.
Along with the craft vendors, there will be raffle baskets, a bake sale, and a luncheon served.
