Boston College scored three goals in the third period to rally past Maine, 3-2, in a Hockey East game Friday night in Boston.

The Eagles, ranked second in the latest USCHO Division I poll, improved to 6-1 overall, 1-0 in Hockey East, while the Black Bears, ranked No. 5, fell to 6-1-1, 3-1-1.

Maine lead 2-0 after a second-period goal by Josh Nadeau and a third-period score by Oskar Komarov.

Boston College answered with three goals in the final 10 minutes. Andre Gasseau started the rally with 9:35 left. Mike Posma tied it with 3:01 left and Ryan Leonard scored the winner with 1:33 remaining.

Albin Boija stopped 27 shots for Maine, while Jacob Fowler made 30 saves for Boston College.

The teams face off again at 1 p.m. Sunday.
