EAST WILTON — Western Maine Community Action has appointed Noelle Coyne, director of family and health services, as its chief executive officer.
“We are excited to see WMCA continue to grow and thrive in the months ahead under Coyne’s leadership,” Janice Daku, WMCA board president, said in a news release. “Noelle’s passion for WMCA’s mission and the people needing services, coupled with her strong leadership skills, gives the board confidence in our decision.”
“This is an exciting time filled with fresh opportunities to strengthen our relationships with community partners as we approach our 60th anniversary providing critically needed services in Androscoggin, Franklin and Oxford counties,” Coyne said. “I look forward to deepening our connections and creating impactful solutions to emerging challenges.”

We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
For those stories that we do enable discussion, our system may hold up comments pending the approval of a moderator for several reasons, including possible violation of our guidelines. As the Maine Trust’s digital team reviews these comments, we ask for patience.
Comments are managed by our staff during regular business hours Monday through Friday and limited hours on Saturday and Sunday. Comments held for moderation outside of those hours may take longer to approve.
