Doris Bureau, 95, uses a dustpan to scoop leaves off her lawn Friday in Lisbon after raking them into piles. Bureau says she has always been active. “You gotta keep going,” she said. Her favorite outdoor chores include clearing leaves in the fall and shoveling snow in the winter. “I have a plow that comes,” she said, “but I like to see the tar, so after they leave, I come out and shovel the rest of the driveway.” When she first moved to the property 49 years ago, Bureau said she enjoyed getting up on the roof to shovel it off.
