The people have spoken. The majority of those who voted Nov. 5 have elected Donald J. Trump as the 47th president of the United States.
Sure, not everyone is happy, but this is democracy at work.
Did the hot-aired, blowhard celebrities who promised if a certain outcome was attained leave the U.S.? Why would they? America is still the best country to live in; people should look at all those folks flocking here.
People should look at all the traumatized students needing a day off after the election because it didn’t go their way. Now even locally, Bates students are protesting Trump’s administration and agenda before he’s even been inaugurated. Could people do this in China or Russia or any other dictator-led country?
It is the land of the free because of the brave.
Those people, who have an inflated sense of uniqueness, an unwarranted sense of embellishment, who are overly emotional, easily offended and unable to deal with opposing opinions, should grow up.
