“Another Evening at Dave’s Sauna – Holiday HiJinXXX” will be presented at 7 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 6, at The Hill Arts in Portland.
The show is one part musical, one part theater, and one part Burlesque show, that features many of the characters from the original “An Evening at Dave’s Sauna” musical comedy.
In this new production, Dave misplaces a significant amount of money and has to save Xmas by holding a Burlesque show at the Sauna on Xmas Eve. Featuring many of the characters including Dave, Nancy, Weird Rob, Saul, Neighbor Not Happy, MassHole, Frank, Gary, Off Duty Waitress, and the sexy Sauna Sirens, along with some surprise new characters from the true life and legendary/hedonistic venue in South Paris back in its heyday.
The show was written by Maine writer, Jonathan Leavitt and features original songs and lyrics from Maine singer-songwriter, Johnny Crashed. The show also incorporates many holiday songs from many of the original holiday tv/movie classics. All performed live by members of Ragtime Rebellion (Dirty Dawz, Horn E.D., and Wavy Davy). Choreography by Nettie Gentempo.
This is an 18+ show that features inappropriate humor and adult themes.
