NAPLES — The Lake Region Community Chorus will be presenting its ninth annual Holiday Concert which will take place in the Lake Region High School auditorium. The school is located at 1877 Roosevelt Trail (Rt. 302) in Naples. The concerts are scheduled for Friday, Dec. 6, at 7 p.m. and Sunday, Dec. 8, at 3 p.m. This dynamic choral group is made up of sixty singers from 12 surrounding towns.
The concert will feature a joyous celebration of pieces that express the promise and meaning of the season. Three of the pieces will include audience participation including the Hallelujah Chorus. The singing will be enhanced with instrumental accompaniments by Rusty Wiltjer, percussion, Christine Russian, flute, Pam Ward and Brian Sprunger, guitar, Adam Quincy, trumpet, Dick Albert, clarinet, Glen Jukkola, violin, and Jacob Kuvaja, electric bass There will be other instrumental surprises as well.
The LRCC is directed by Jan Jukkola and Susan Stockwell and accompanied by Patrick Speckamp. The chorus would like to thank the Bridgton Academy for all their help and support and Saphrona Stetson and Greg Watkins for all their help at the LRHS. The LRCC would also like to thank their enthusiastic audiences and local sponsors. Donations to help cover music and operating costs will be graciously accepted. Come and let the Lake Region Community Chorus sing in the holiday season and fill your heart with joyful music and song.
