Vinny

Guess who’s back? Vinny came by to tell all you folks that he is still looking for his forever home. A little back story on Vin. He came to RPC as a forced surrender back in September of 2023. His previous owners severely abused him. He has lost trust in some humans but the staff here at RPC work hard every day to get him to earn their trust again; we see so much improvement in him each week.

Vinny is the definition of resilient and he lives every day making up for his lost time. Vinny is just over two years old and ready to move on to his next adventure. Due to his trauma, Vinny has a very hard time being away from his humans and left alone. Vinny is crate trained and has a special crate (It goes with him when he is adopted) to contain him for times that he does need to be alone. Vinny has learned to sit and shake. Since being in our care he has learned to wait for commands when it comes to treats and food. Ideally, Vinny will live in a child-free and pet-free home, a home where his new family will continue to work with him, and with someone to love him. Vinny has so much love to give and works hard every day to be the best boy he can be.

Responsible Pet Care of Oxford Hills is a no-kill, non-profit shelter and adoption center for cats and dogs, and the holding area for stray dogs for 12 towns in Oxford County. The shelter is located at 9 Swallow Road in Paris. Those interested in adopting a pet from RPC can visit the shelter on Wednesdays and Thursdays from noon to 4 p.m.; on Fridays and Saturdays from noon to 5 p.m.; and on Sundays from noon to 4 p.m. Most of the adoptable pets and adoption applications can be found online on the shelter’s website at www.responsiblepetcare.org.

Responsible Pet Care operates a thrift shop called Pawsibilities. It is located at 132 Waterford Road in Norway, and is open Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Donations of clean, usable household items are accepted during shop hours.
