BRIDGTON — It has grown into a holiday tradition for alumni, families, and community members, near and far. An opportunity to partake in holiday cheer while supporting a place dedicated to building character and confidence that can last a lifetime.
The Bridgton Academy’s 2024 Holiday Auction is set for Friday, Nov. 29, through Sunday, Dec. 8, and features its usual diverse and spectacular collection of items from Maine, New England, and beyond. All proceeds from the auction benefit Bridgton Academy’s mission and programs, which offer young men an additional year of growth opportunities and education before continuing on to college. Since its founding in 1808, the academy has honored core values of intellectual vitality, community, accountability, sportsmanship, and excellence.
Over the years, Norway Savings Bank has offered its support to the academy, including a multi-year commitment to improve the Goldsmith Dining Hall on the historic campus and a $500 sponsorship of this year’s Holiday Auction.
“For generations, Bridgton Academy has encouraged and fostered individual and academic advancement in thousands of students, helping them realize undiscovered potential. We are pleased to play just a small part in the academy’s massive impact both on the students, their families, and the communities they serve in the years that follow,” said Dan Walsh, President and CEO of Norway Savings Bank.
“Bridgton Academy prides itself on helping our young men to reach their dreams through a dedicated focus on education, community, and leadership. Contributions of organizations and businesses like Norway Savings help us meet the many needs of our students and assist them in becoming active and responsible citizens in college and life,” said Jessica Priola, Director of Institutional Advancement at Bridgton Academy.
