LEWISTON — Dr. Nicholas Knowland, a cardiothoracic anesthesiologist, has joined the staff at Central Maine Medical Center. He will spend most of his time in the operating room.
He grew up in South Portland and graduated from McGill University in Montreal, then attended medical school at Tufts University as part of the Tufts School of Medicine’s Maine Track, according to a Central Maine Healthcare news release.
Knowland did his residency at Loma Linda Medical School in California and completed a fellowship in cardiothoracic anesthesia in White Plains, New York.
