Charli Apodaca, St. Dom’s senior: Averaged 15.3 points and made 31 3-pointers during her junior season, after which she was named to second-team All-Western Maine Conference. Opened the season with 17 points against NYA.

Ella Beaudoin, Lewiston junior: Beaudoin will step to the forefront this season for the Blue Devils, who are replacing five seniors from last year’s squad that reached the AA North semifinals. As a sophomore, she earned AA North honorable mention after averaging 5 points, 3 steals and 2.5 assist per game.

Avery Bessey, Spruce Mountain senior: Having already established herself as a high-level shooter by setting a new B South tournament record for made 3-pointers, Bessey will be relied on even more by the Phoenix this season. She was voted to the Mountain Valley Conference second team last year.

Madison Dow, Mountain Valley senior: Athletic, gritty player who contributes all over the court. Last season, she averaged 7 points, 9 rebounds, 4 steals, 3 deflections and 3 assists per game, earning second-team MVC honors.

Layla Facchiano, Edward Little senior: Experienced point guard led the Red Eddies in scoring with 12.4 points per game and made 31 3-pointers in 2023-24. She was voted to the AA North second team.

Kaitlyn Frost, Monmouth junior: Frost averaged 9.5 points, 3.7 rebounds and 2.9 assists per game and was named to the Mountain Valley Conference second team as a sophomore.

Charlotte Grenier, Poland sophomore: A long, athletic player who ranked second on the team in scoring (9.6 points per game) and steals (2.8) as a freshman.

Kylee Mansir, Winthrop sophomore: Able to shoot and score in bunches, Mansir averaged 13 points as a freshman while grabbing 4 rebounds per game.

Caitlyn McCoy, Leavitt senior: The second-team KVAC Class B selection made 2.6 shots per game from 3-point range and finished with averages of 12.4 points and 2.6 assists last season.

Izzy Morelli, Gray-New Gloucester senior: Ranked second in the Western Maine Conference in scoring (16.5 points per game) and seventh in rebounding (9 per game) as a junior, and she was named to the all-conference first team for the second straight season.

Ella Pelletier, Oxford Hills senior: Pelletier averaged 18.7 points, 10.1 rebounds, 4 assists and 2 steals per game as a junior, when she was named the 2023-24 Sun Journal Player of the Year, shared AA North Player of the Year honors with Miss Maine Basketball Maddie Fitzpatrick and was named to the AA North first team and all-defense team.

Rachel Penny, Edward Little senior: Led the Red Eddies in assists (3.1 per game), rebounding (5.6) and 3-pointers made (36) last season. Among players who played more than half the season, she ranked second on the team in scoring (7.9) and steals (2.8).

Ella Rice, Winthrop senior guard: An experienced, pass-first point guard will direct the experienced Ramblers’ offense this season. Voted first-team All-MVC after averaging 11 points, 5 steals, 4 rebounds and 4 steals per game last year.

Gabbie Tibbetts, Oxford Hills senior: After contributing to the Vikings’ 2022-23 state championship, Tibbetts took on a larger role last season and averaged 12.1 points per game to earn AA North second-team honors.

Madeline Wagner, Winthrop senior: The All-State field hockey player is a physical post presence on the basketball court who averaged 13 points, 8 rebounds, 3 steals and 3 assists last season.
