LEWISTON — Skelton Taintor & Abbott attorney Christian Jones has been named a fellow for the 2025 Justice Andrew M. Mead Fellowship for Pro Bono Service.
This provides Jones, a family law attorney, the opportunity to help address the access to justice gap while developing legal and professional skills and gaining exposure in the legal community.
“It is a privilege to be able to contribute to the cause of justice and provide legal services to those in need,” Jones said in a news release from the firm. “I hope this recognition will inspire other new lawyers to engage in pro bono work and make a difference in the lives of those who are often overlooked by our legal system.”
Jones’ background includes work as a student attorney at the Cumberland Legal Aid Clinic’s Genera Practice Clinic and Rural Practice Clinic, and at the Office of the Maine Attorney General.
