PARIS — At a recent Oxford Hills Rotary Club meeting, members attached labels in 240 dictionaries that were then distributed and presented to all third graders in MSAD 17 elementary schools. Each dictionary has a label in the front for the students to fill in their name and is presented to them in honor of Mary Lou Burns, an educator/administrator of the district for many years, who was instrumental in starting the project.
It’s always a captive audience and Rotarians enjoy the project as much as the students. Since we started this project in 2004, we have given out over 5500 dictionaries. For more information, go to www.oxfordhillsrotary.org or find us on Facebook.
