Season outlook: Angie Jalbert said these are the largest rosters both teams have had in years. The Red Eddies have a lot of new athletes showing great potential, and the coaches are excited to see what the season brings.

Top returners: Boys: Seniors — Gavin Gerry, Cole Ouellette, Cameron Meek, Cole Thibodeau, Noah Johnson; Junior — Carter Langlois. Girls: Seniors — Samantha Poulin, Elara Kluck, Annie Reynolds; Junior — Leydin Chase-Lessard.
Key losses: Ben Cobb, Preston Gerry, Ella Brown, Sara Patriquin.
Promising newcomers: Boys: Senior — Kaiden Chase; Freshmen — Chase Diffen, Christian Lacadie. Girls: Junior — Callista Strattard; Freshman — Sarah Pelkey.
Season outlook: Todd Mercer said the team has a large number of ninth-graders, so the upperclassmen will play a pivotal in leadership, including fitting everyone into the team culture.

Season outlook: The boys’ team is looking to replicate last season’s success despite losing key athletes in throwing and sprinting events. Coach Jamie Juntura said the boys should still put a lot of points on the board, especially in the jumps and hurdle events. He said the girls can score in every event this season.
LEWISTON BLUE DEVILS
Coaches: Craig John (third year), Carolyn Court, Ken Ball, Farhan Abdillahi, Vantiel Duncan.

Last year’s results: Boys: Third at state championships, second at KVACs; Girls: Fifth at state championships, third at KVACs.
Top returners: Boys: Seniors — Ryker Paradis, Tadon Rogers, Josia Katroli, Alexander Wade; Juniors — Larson Stone, Enzo Giampaolo, Cameron Harris. Girls: Seniors — Jenni Flynn, Annie Spurr, Athanasis Andoniades, Stefanie Tuffour, Biel Deng; Juniors — Virginia Foss, Holly Aloegnikou.

Season outlook: John said the Blue Devils are aiming for another season like last winter, when both teams finished in the top five at the Class A championships.
OXFORD HILLS/BUCKFIELD VIKINGS

Promising newcomers: Boys: Junior — Jeremiah Lawrence; Freshmen — Lucas Im, Daniel Parks, Cooper Wilkins, Andrej Eborde. Girls: Sophomore — Kerrigan Watson; Freshmen — Aislinn Shaw, Ryver Davis.
Season outlook: Oxford Hills/Buckfield is expected to do well in the sprinting events. Coach Audrey Shaw said the young squad has worked hard on form, improving hip flexor strength and flexibility.
POLAND KNIGHTS

Conference: WMC; Class: B
Last year’s results: Boys: 25th at states, eighth at WMCs. Girls: 10th at WMCs.
Top returners: Boys: Juniors — Cayden Michaud, Brayden Brown, Riley Lamb, Harper Doyle, Mason Dulworth, Cohen Demuth, Ethan Castonguay, Ryan Kelly. Girls: Senior —Autumn Demelia; Sophomores — Regan Wakem, Gracyn Camire.
Promising newcomers: Boys: Freshmen — Beckett Green, Richie Christopher; Girls: Senior — Emma Jones; Freshman — Alyssa Mason.
Season outlook: The team is young with only a few seniors, but Coach Matt Steinbeck said it is a hard-working group. The Knights hope to meet their team and individual goals this season.
ST. DOMINIC/LISBON/OAK HILL/WINTHROP

Season outlook: St. Dom’s is coming off a successful season that featured a fifth-place finish by the boys’ team at the state meet. Though the Saints lost many key contributors, Coach Cameron Meserve said there is more depth than previous seasons, and the team is strong across the board, especially in the jumping events.
