RANGELEY — John Meader, owner of The Northern Stars Planetarium, will lead several night sky snowshoe tours this winter at Rangeley Lakes Trails Center, 524 Saddleback Mountain Rd. Learn about constellations, galaxies, and much more! The Night Sky Tours are sponsored by Dark Skies Rangeley, a community-led effort to conserve the dark skies over the Rangeley Region.
A 1-hr session for up to 25 participants will be offered each date. Registration is required. Tickets are $5. Snowshoes at the Rangeley Lakes Trails Center may be reserved in advance for $5. Participants are encouraged to bring 7X50 or more significant binoculars. Please leave flashlights and pets at home.
If weather prevents an in-person event, a virtual tour will be held at 8 PM. The link will be sent in the registration confirmation.

A virtual tour will be held on Friday, April 24, 2025 as part of the International Dark Skies Week celebration.
