He is sweet, he is full of charm and character, and his name is Shamus! Shamus came to us as a stray in June of 2023. He is between 3-4 years old and weighs in at about 70 lbs. When Shamus first arrived, he had little to no leash manners, but with hard work and dedication, he has improved so much and now loves to go for walks with his favorite staff. Shamus has shown us that he is not fond of other animals. It will be best for him to live alone, that way he can get endless amounts of love and attention. He may be alright with older children but Shamus thinks he is a small lap dog and not aware of his size and strength. Shamus is crate-trained and is house-trained as well. He does well with hard toys and bones, he has not shown any signs of food aggression. Shamus absolutely loves ripping apart stuffies and carries them around like trophies. If you have large dog handling skills and wouldn’t mind attending extra training classes with our hunk Shamus, we would love for you to meet and fall in love with him!
