Who would have imagined that a South African native, Elon Musk, would hold the power to trash a bi-partisan Congressional budget plan a week before the nation was facing another governmental shutdown?
Who would have ever imagined that the job security of 2.5 million federal workers would rest in the hands of the richest Republican with a history of mass firing of his employees?
Donald Trump, an abysmal business failure, recently deployed the multi-billionaire Musk to intimidate the U.S. House of Representatives to grant him unlimited spending power upon his return to the Oval Office.
Musk’s efforts trashed the bi-partisan budget plan, but failed to give Trump free spending power.
Perhaps Congress remembered the last Trump administration, which shut down the government, increased the national debt by an historic 25%, and gave massive tax cuts to the rich, which once again failed to trickle down to the rest of us.
