HIRAM — Deputies arrested a local man on drug trafficking charges Tuesday after executing a search warrant at a Tripptown Road home, according to an Oxford County Sheriff’s Office Facebook post.

Mark O’Brien, 37, was charged with two counts of aggravated trafficking of schedule drugs, two counts of furnishing schedule drugs, three counts of unlawful possession of schedule drugs, one count of theft by receiving stolen property and possession of a firearm by a prohibited person.

O’Brien was transported to Oxford County Jail in Paris and is being held on $50,000 bail.

Deputies searched O’Brien’s home at 931 Tripptown Road about 2:30 p.m. Tuesday for illegal drugs and stolen property, the post said.

The search yielded 143.6 grams of cocaine, 33.1 grams of fentanyl, 2.5 grams of methamphetamines, 59 doses of suboxone and 10 oxycodone pills.

Deputies also found items related to manufacturing crack cocaine, seven firearms and a stolen chainsaw.
