I write in response to Joe Voisine’s letter (“No one is above the law, including President Biden,” Dec. 27).
I am amazed that he seems to discount the more than 30,000 documented lies that Donald Trump told as President. Facts show the economy was strong under Biden’s term. There were more deportations under Biden than Trump, and it was reported at the time that Biden took over that he was left with a mess from Trump.
As far as Hunter Biden’s pardon, legal experts say that most people would not have even been charged, so the average person would not have even gone to trial. As far as lying about not giving him a pardon, isn’t he entitled to change his mind given the threat of Trump to go after Hunter?
Apparently, all of Trump’s words don’t set a bad precedent.
The Department of Justice did have attorney generals with questionable behavior under Trump.
