NORWAY — For years, the Norway Fire Department has generously offered NSB one of its empty garage bays, in which team members could prepare the bank’s float for the Oxford Hills Chamber of Commerce Christmas Parade.
With gratitude for that community kindness, NSB representatives presented the Norway Fire Department with a $500 surprise holiday donation last week.
“We’re thankful for the generous donation which will go into the equipment reserve account for equipment purchases and replacement,” said Chief David Knox.
The relationship led to “victory” this year, as the NSB team float won first place for large businesses at this year’s parade.
“The Norway Fire Department has always been so accommodating to us,” said Tanya Damon, Commercial Loan Servicing Specialist at NSB who helped create this year’s float. “Chief Knox said he thought our float this year was very creative and deserving of first place!”
