SWEDEN — The Sweden Food Pantry (SFP) is excited to announce that, for the entire month of January 2025, it has been selected by store leadership at Hannaford’s in Bridgton to receive a $1 donation from every purchase of the $2.50 Fight Hunger Bag Program. Executive Director of the SFP Linda Bradley remarked, “The beginning of the year is a great time to replace those old bags for new ones. And for every $2.50 bag purchased, SFP receives $1. Hannaford has been very good to us. Not only do they donate food to the pantry twice a month, but this is the second time we’ve been selected as part of the Fight Hunger Bag program.”

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way.
