
A fire at a Farmington residence and instrument service business sent one firefighter to the hospital with minor injuries on Saturday
The fire was reported around 12:15 p.m. at 420 High St., Farmington fire Chief Tim Hardy said.
The fire caused significant damage to an adjacent barn and garage, Hardy said. The main house sustained smoke and water damage.
One firefighter was transported to the hospital for minor injuries, but was expected to make a recovery, Hardy said. No occupants were injured.
The owner of the business listed at the address, Siegler Stringed Instruments, confirmed over the phone that the business was significantly damaged by fire.
The Office of State Fire Marshal is investigating the cause of the fire, Hardy said.
