Freya

Freya came to us as a stray over the summer of 2024 and is estimated to be around six years old. She was emaciated and had skin issues when she arrived. Freya also had visible dental issues. Since Freya has been in our care, we have helped her put on weight and taken care of her itchy skin, which was most likely caused by fleas. Freya visited our vet to have some much-needed dental work done.

We have learned a lot since Freya has been with us. She is a sweet and gentle girl with lots of love to give. She can be very playful and loves to snuggle, especially under lots of blankets. She would make a wonderful companion. We are unsure of how she is with small children, but we do think she would do well in a home with older children and potentially another dog.

She has been cat tested but she did not do well with them so she needs to go to a cat-free home. Freya is house- and crate-trained. She has not been destructive with bedding or toys unless there is a squeaker involved. She walks very well on a leash and knows basic commands. Freya has brought so much light to our shelter and we know she would make a wonderful dog for those who need a lovely companion.
