Gloria A. Theriault

RUMFORD – Gloria A. Theriault, 91, died Thursday Jan. 16, 2025, at the Rumford Community Home. Born in Rumford on August 27, 1933, she was a daughter of Frank and Alice (Curato) Sullivan.

She worked for the Mammoth Mart in Rumford, Androscoggin Home Health Care and Hospice and for the Social Security Administration as a Claim’s Representative. She was communicant of the Parish of The Holy Savior St Athanasius St John Church and was an active member of Al-Anon for nearly 30 years. She was well loved by her family and friends.

Gloria was married in Rumford on June 23, 1951, to Norman L. Theriault who died in Clearwater, Fla. on March 25, 2011.

Survivors include her sons, Joseph Theriault and wife Sonja of Minot and Peter Theriault of Carthage, daughters, Cynthia Theriault of Mexico, Susan Roy and husband Sheldon of Port Charlotte, Fla., Norma Theriault of Mexico, Mary Ann Brenchick and husband Jay of Winthrop and Joanie Daniel of Durham; many grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, Frank L. Theriault who died on April 2, 2010.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Friday Jan. 24, 2025, at the Parish of the Holy Savior St Athanasius St John Church 126 Maine Ave, Rumford. Friends and family are invited to call at the Meader & Son Funeral Home 3 Franklin St Rumford, ME on Thursday from 5-7 p.m.
