Colleen F. (Dill) Michaud

AUBURN – Colleen F. (Dill) Michaud, 79, of Auburn, passed away on Monday, Jan. 27, 2025, at her home. She was the wife of the late Robert L. Aube Sr. and the late Gerard J. Michaud. She was also the longtime companion of James R. Bucci.

She was born on Aug. 30, 1945, in Lewiston, a daughter of the late Colby A. and Frances C. (Turner) Dill. She grew up in Auburn and Chesterville, attending local area schools.

Colleen had an extensive work history, including employment as a nursing aide. She worked for Androscoggin Home Healthcare for many years, doing home visits. She also owned a consignment store in Lewiston.

Colleen was a devoted pet lover who enjoyed the company of cats, dogs, and even ferrets. She enjoyed knitting and cooking, and was known for her homemade peanut butter balls, chocolates and Needham’s that she gave out to family members and friends every Christmas for many years.

Later in life, she took several group vacations to Amish Country in Pennsylvania, and also developed a keen interest in lighthouses.

Besides her companion, she is survived by her two children and their partners, Robert L. Aube Jr. and Marguerite Aube of Cumberland, and Peggy J. Aube and Victor Dube of North Waterboro. She also leaves behind five step-grandchildren; and eight step-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and six siblings, Colby (Frankie) Dill, Wanda Passalaqua of Auburn, Tony Passalaqua of Yarmouth, Florence Henley and her husband, Rick, of Buckfield, Albert Passalaqua Jr. of Minot, and Ann St. Hilaire and her husband, George, of North Port, Fla.

She was the sister of the late Anthony Passalaqua; and the stepdaughter of the late Albert Passalaqua Sr.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Wednesday, Feb. 5, from 3-5 p.m. at The Fortin and Pinette Group, 217 Turner St., Auburn.

Graveside services will be held in the spring at Gracelawn Memorial Park in Auburn.
