Proceeds will go toward a collaborative project of the Paris Cape Historical Society and the Paris Hill Historical Society to develop a shared website to help further their mission of preserving and sharing the history of Paris, according to a news release from Alison Aloisio with the Paris Cape society.

The societies have recently begun working jointly to plan events and programs for later this year, and a website will help get the word out about plans as well as share information on town history.

This year’s egg, designed by local artist Alexandra Thompson, depicts the original Oxford County Court House circa 1815. It served in its governmental capacity until the county seat moved to South Paris in 1895. It is now a private residence.

The egg is dedicated in memory of Ben Conant, revered historian and curator of Paris Cape Historical Society.

Wells Wood Turning & Finishing, located in Buckfield, manufacturer of the White House Easter Eggs, is the same company that makes the Paris Hill eggs.

For a donation of $10 to Paris Cape society, purchasers will receive the 2025 egg, the fourth in the collectible series. Handmade wooden egg stands are available for $2.

To purchase eggs and stands visit Speedway Inc. at 2 Madison Ave. in Oxford or email Linda Richardson at cozycider@gmail.com.
