Greta

This is our lovely Greta girl. Greta is a 3 to 4-year-old Lab/Hound mix weighing around 50 lbs. Greta never showed any shyness around us when she first came in. She has done well when meeting new people and is very friendly. She walks well on a leash and is house-trained. She will destroy stuffed toys and flimsy plastic toys but does very well with toys made for super chewers. Although she loves to destroy her toys, she is respectful in her kennel and does not chew up her blankets or bedding.

Greta was brought in by Animal Control with another dog. We’re not sure of her past but we have learned so much about her. For instance, she loves to snuggle and settles down very well. She is calm and curious and knows basic commands. We have learned she can be selective around other dogs here at the shelter, although there is potential for her to go to a home with another dog. She was mostly fearful of the cats when she was cat tested. We are unsure of her history with children, but believe a home with older (12+) children would be fine.
