Originally from Cumberland, Gagnon gained national acclaim after placing in the top seven performers of the 22nd season of American Idol. She is a student at the University of Southern Maine, and her singing journey started at a school talent show.
During her time with “American Idol,” Gagnon became a household name across the state, with Mainers rallying to support her in any way possible. From voting for her each week, hosting watch parties and wearing fan T-shirts, her fans and family have been supporting her journey to the very end. Following her success on the show, Gagnon announced a statewide tour last summer — also called the Here in Maine tour – and is working on writing and recording new music with her fiancé and musical partner, Nate Haven.
Tickets cost $31-$41.

We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
For those stories that we do enable discussion, our system may hold up comments pending the approval of a moderator for several reasons, including possible violation of our guidelines. As the Maine Trust’s digital team reviews these comments, we ask for patience.
Comments are managed by our staff during regular business hours Monday through Friday and limited hours on Saturday and Sunday. Comments held for moderation outside of those hours may take longer to approve.
