RUMFORD — Scottish Fish from Boston, which aims to present a fresh take on traditional and contemporary Scottish and Cape Breton music, is set to perform at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 20, at 49 Franklin’s Mystic Theater, 49 Franklin St.
The band’s lively arrangements are woven together from session music handed down from generations of the tradition’s finest players. It has performed at the Boston Celtic Music Festival, the Bellingham Celtic Festival, Club Passim, and at various other public and private venues across the U.S.
In 2017 the group released its debut album, “Splash,” and followed it with “Tidings,” a five-track holiday EP, in 2019. Its newest record, “Upscale,” produced by pianist and composer Neil Pearlman, was released in 2022, marking the band’s 10-year anniversary.
Doors open at 5:30 p.m. for social time, seating, and a full pub menu available for purchase.
Tickets cost $20 in advance or $25 the day of show and at the door.
