DEAR SUN SPOTS: Lisbon Christian Outreach Food Pantry is having an “All You Can Eat” Crock-Pot supper at the Lisbon Falls Baptist Church, 555 Lisbon St. (Route 196), Lisbon Falls, on Saturday, Feb. 15, from 4 to 6:30 p.m. The cost is $15 per person.

The meal will consist of all-you-can-eat soup, chowder, chili and beans, salad with dressing, homemade bread and dinner rolls, homemade pies and beverages.

If you are interested in sharing your culinary skills, we would love it if you donated  a crock pot meal or a pie.

Lisbon Christian Outreach Food Pantry provides food and services to the towns of Lisbon, Lisbon Falls, Durham and Bowdoin.

Our last supper of this type consisted of about 23 crock pot meals. The fundraiser was a huge success and people have been asking when we would have another one. For more information and tickets, call Debbie at 576-1109.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: Mexico Congregational Church, UCC (the “Green Church”) at 163 Main St. is offering “Sweets for Your Sweetie” on Thursday, Feb. 13, from 3 to 7 p.m.

There will be homemade pastries, candies and other treats in festive packaging for sale. People who are shopping for Valentine’s Day will find delicious gifts for that special someone.

The event will be held in the conference room on the main floor of the church, which may be accessed using the ramp from the parking lot or the Main St. door near the large lawn sign. — Carol, Mexico
