PARIS — The Select Board on Monday unanimously awarded the mowing contract for town ball fields, cemeteries and other properties to A&A Property Maintenance for the next three years.
The Norway company bid $356,840 for the contract, which includes mulching and weeding. The company has held the contract for the past couple of years.
Selectman Christopher Summers praised A&A Property Maintenance for its work.
In other business, the Select Board voted to look into using a cost recovery company to help pay for some expenses incurred by the Fire Department. A third-party would bill insurance companies for certain expenses. How much certain expenses would be billed needs to be determined.
Town Clerk Elizabeth Knox announced that nomination papers for town offices will be available March 2 and are due in the Town Office by April 11. Among the openings are two Select Board seats. Summers said he will run for reelection. Selectman Peter Kilgore said he will not.
