PARIS — Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School announced its top five percent of students for the class of 2025 last Friday during a school-wide assembly.
Eleven of the 12 seniors were in attendance: Angelica Hart, Brittney Le, Richard Dietrich, Alexandra Luksza, Lily Hammond, Emily Sanborn, Carly Dillingham, Adelaide Harthorne, Hunter Wormwood, Rylee Koehn, Salutatorian Gianna DeVivo and Valedictorian Ella Pelletier.
Before announcing their names, Principal Paul Bickford previewed their achievements by saying that the top five overall would be contenders for valedictorian in any graduating class, and that at least another dozen seniors of the class could be included with the elite student group in any given school year.
“Of our top five percent, five students have grade averages about 100,” Bickford said, garnering a round of applause. “Seven of them are enrolled in a tech school program, which is pretty awesome. These students averaged taking nine college or advanced placement courses.”
Five of the 12 have taken enough college courses while at OHCHS to satisfy requirements for their first year of secondary education.
Bickford then shared other highlights of the group’s overall extracurricular activities, including the school’s Civil Rights Team, DECA, National Honor Society, SkillsUSA, unified sports, varsity sports, student council, mentoring, Key Club and DEI committee service.
