CARRABASSETT VALLEY — The High Peaks Alliance invites outdoor enthusiasts to join them for an après ski social event at the Bill & Joan Alfond Competition Center at Sugarloaf on March 8, 2025, from 4-6 PM. This is a free event, open to all interested parties.
The social celebrates the Alliance’s ongoing efforts to ensure recreational access to the High Peaks landscape. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet the Alliance team discover new hiking trails, and learn about mountain biking, and backcountry skiing access in the region.
At 4:45 PM, Executive Director Brent West will deliver a brief presentation on the Alliance’s mission, recent successes, and upcoming projects. There will be light fare for all guests, and the first 40 attendees will receive complimentary beverage tickets.
“This après ski social is a great opportunity for backcountry skiers, mountain bikers, and hikers to come together, celebrate, and learn about the Alliance’s recreational access projects in the area,” states Brent West, executive director of the Alliance. “I encourage anyone who loves the High Peaks region to join us.”
The Bill & Joan Alfond Competition Center, which opened in 2016, has become a hub for athletes of all levels and a center for social activity and networking in the Sugarloaf area. The Alliance extends its gratitude to the Sugarloaf Ski Club for generously providing the space for this event.
