WATERVILLE — Stephanie Gilbert, a classically trained vocalist with degrees from the University of Southern Maine and Yale, plans to perform with Floydian Trip at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, March 29, at the Waterville Opera House, 1 Common St.

A Vassalboro native, Gilbert first performed at the Waterville Opera House as a child, singing at dance recitals before later starring in high school musicals and national anthem performances. She now brings a classical vocalist’s precision and emotion to Pink Floyd’s music, including her standout performance of “The Great Gig in the Sky” — one of the band’s most iconic vocal solos.

“Coming back to perform in my hometown is incredibly special to me,” Gilbert said. “This is where my passion for singing really began, and I’m excited to bring this music to a hometown audience.”

Floydian Trip, a New England-based Pink Floyd Tribute Band, will perform “Wish You Were Here” in its entirety for its 50th anniversary in addition to songs from Pink Floyd’s The Dark Side of the Moon, In the Flesh, and The Wall tours.
