NAPLES — Erin Nelson, assistant vice president, branch manager at Norway Savings Bank in Bridgton, and Mary Martell, manager of the Naples branch, are joining other financial professionals in Maine to present a course, Your Role as a Professional Banker, this spring in Naples.

The course is set to be held every Tuesday from April 29 through June 3, from 5:30-7 p.m., at Lake Region and Fryeburg Area Adult Education at 1881 Roosevelt Trail.

“This class is ideal for individuals who are new to the banking world or are considering a career transition,” Nelson said. “It’s also beneficial for people who possess banking experience but want to improve their customer relations and professional skills. It’s a course that really enhances someone’s resume and skill set, regardless of what point they are in their career or professional journey.”

Featured topics include professionalism, communication, quality customer service and effective promotion of a financial institution’s products.

Nelson joined Norway Savings Bank in 2014 and has worked in the banking industry for more than 20 years. In her current role, she is responsible for business development with a focus on providing support to customers for all their life moments such as saving for college or preparing for retirement.

Martell also joined the bank in 2014 and has extensive experience as a financial solutions specialist, assistant market manager and her current position as branch manager.

The fee for the course is $99 and includes a textbook. Registration is required.
