In the history of the Russian empire, the Soviet Union, or the current regime in Moscow, has there ever been a more helpful pair of “polezniye duraki” (useful idiots) than the current occupant of the White House and his sycophantic sidekick — who has stated “I don’t really care what happens in Ukraine.”

Just last week, the U.S. joined other bulwarks of democracy and human rights like North Korea and Iran to vote against a United Nations resolution condemning Russia on the third anniversary of its invasion of Ukraine.

The administration talks about “diplomacy,” but publicly attacks the leader of the country courageously trying to survive the Russian onslaught. That conversation could have been addressed privately and off camera, but our dear leader wanted to be able to proclaim, “This is going to be great television.”

The U.S. suspends military and intelligence assistance to Ukraine, but Russia continues to bombard cities and slaughter civilians without a word of “diplomacy” or protest from the White House. Vladimir Putin is surely smiling in the Kremlin about his new U.S. ally, and Xi Jinping in China must be enjoying this “great television.”

Ronald Reagan must be spinning in his grave with what has become of the Republican Party.
